Therapy is the gift you give yourself.
As women of all ages, we find ourselves giving to others. We can easily justify the money spent, time used, and emotional support in the name of caring for others, but it isn’t easy when it comes to ourselves.
We are supportive of family and friends who need it. We have an ear to listen to problems and an extra ten minutes at work to help someone with what they are doing and advice for others, but inside, we desperately know that we are doing for others, but not for ourselves.
Constantly giving without attending to your needs can make you feel stressed, depressed, and overwhelmed.
For some, life seems to be a constant treadmill, physically and inside our heads. Therapy with me can and will change this and help make life more manageable.
Explore the possibilities through therapy.
I help those who need to change something but cannot identify what that is or figure out the steps required to head in the direction they want.
Your commitment to therapy and our working together will allow you to explore what, when, and how you can change your life. Those changes can be small or large, but their impact will be meaningful in your day-to-day existence.
I provide the support you need to take the steps to achieve concrete outcomes.
Take this journey for YOU!
Beginning on the journey with me of nonjudgmental, empathetic, expert support opens the world’s possibilities for you to rekindle or create your dreams, understand your pain and frustration, and develop a path of empowerment and motivation.
The therapeutic experience and its success are about the bonds formed between you and me. You will always be treated with the utmost respect and kindness while being listened to intently, guided, and psycho-educated to help you in ways your individual experience deserves.
This journey is all about you and your needs. The help is here – reach out.
LET’S DO THIS!
Coming into therapy is about giving yourself the best chance to shift your life toward happiness and fulfillment.
You will experience glimpses of relief, feel seen, and become engaged in the work that we map out and traverse together. Your hard work will be difficult at times but incredibly satisfying.
As your clarity arises, your confidence grows, and your skill levels rise, you will look back on your therapy experience like a good luck charm in your pocket that you always carry with you.
A Bit About Nancy
Here’s my story – the short version.
How do I sum up a life well lived and continuing to be lived well in a paragraph or even two? I will give it my best shot, so you know about me and if I merit the honor of being told your story and supporting your ever-so-important journey into your best life.
After running an advertising agency, a fashion line, and working in international business consulting in the UK, the British Virgin Islands, Mexico, and Italy, I became passionate about a career as a therapist. Although English is my native language, I speak Italian and Spanish.
I have raised three self-proclaimed feminist gentlemen and am incredibly lucky to have spent the last 32 years with my lovely husband. I have touched the glass ceiling and raised children through the advent of cell phones and the pleasures of adolescence while sandwiched between aging parents and young children.
Throughout that time, I have experienced the highs and lows of a life touched by addiction and the recovery of loved ones. I understood the ravaging experience of serious illness while experiencing life’s greatest joys and deepest pain.
Personal and professional experiences are my offering.
My experiences are as unique to me as yours; however, so many pieces mirror the experiences of many women, no matter age, race, religion, or nationality. These experiences are what I bring with me into the room with you – an in-depth understanding of life’s gifts and challenges that help me understand your plight and what could help in tough times and the uncertain times you are experiencing.
As a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California’s Master of Social Work Program, I have training in psychodynamic therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and trauma body work training Levels I and II from the Trauma Resource Institute. My experiences, combined with my therapeutic expertise, have helped me support many.
Professionally, I have worked as a Clinical Director of an Intensive Outpatient Program in Bel Air, California, Program Managed Community Mental Health programs in South Central, and been an Associate Chief at Veterans Affairs along with nine years of private practice.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and New York, and here to help. Call me to find the support you need, the respect you deserve, the joy you desire, and a path to your best life.
