Change is hard.
You take a deep breath and blow it out to regain your composure as you hang up the phone. Now, you’re afraid to ask again how much more you can take. You feel nothing else could happen, but something new comes up.
While waking in the middle of the night, your mind is racing. You tell yourself to go back to sleep, but the minutes pass as you watch the clock, knowing you will feel irritable tomorrow and not in your best form.
You manage to adapt to everything thrown at you. You’re resilient and robust, but the onslaught of change and adaptation has you exhausted mentally and physically.
Relocating, career change, a new relationship or ending an old one, changing family dynamics, empty nesting, nearing retirement, or loss all contribute to the endless list of transitions.
Accepting something positive is a struggle.
You hear people around you say you are strong and good at what you do, but inside, you feel overwhelmed and want the rollercoaster to slow down and stop throwing things your way.
It would be nice to have a minute to catch up.
Any changes that come with life can be complex, but as a woman, your life is made more complicated by social expectations to be everything to everyone, which you have managed to be up to this point.
